After studying at the Regional School of Fine Arts of Rennes from 1990 to 1995, Xavier Noiret-Thomé had a residency at the Center for Contemporary Art Domaine de Kerguéhennec. In 1996 he received the grant of the Villa Medicis Hors-les murs. From 1996 to 1997, he joined the residence of the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Amsterdam. In 1999, he obtained a studio at the Paul Gauguin Museum Pont-Aven. In 2001 he was awarded the Levis award for "Young Belgian Painting" at the Palais des Beaux-Arts in Brussels. In 2005 he won the price of the Academie de France in Rome and received a residency at the Villa Medicis. In 2011 he designed the stained glass windows of St. Thomas Church of Vaulx-en-Velin in France. 

Since the early 90s, Xavier Noiret-Thomé had several solo shows in Belgium, France, Germany, Switzerland, Greece, Italy and participated in numerous group exhibitions around the world. (See full biography).

Since 2005, Xavier Noiret-Thomé has been teaching at the National School of Visual Arts - La Cambre in Brussels.
