Karin Borghouts - Tentoonstellingszicht 'A Principle of Symmetry'

Karin Borghouts is an artist photographer. She photographs places, preferably architectural environments and interiors. Her work occupies a position between photography and visual art, and is rich in references to painting. Her highly ingenious photos can be found, for example, in the collections of the Fotomuseum and the MAS in Antwerp. Her work has been exhibited in more of 50 group and solo exhibitions in Belgium and abroad. Karin Borghouts is working on her own projects (art and documentary photography). She likes to work in site-specific projects and has a large experience in printing and publishing. She also works on commissioned assignments for cultural institutes, museums, publishers, architects, city councils and artists.

”Her images always reflect a precise artistic tension. The intention is to guide the eyes, to direct and, in some way, to educate them to a new form of aesthetic poetry.” Steve Bisson, curator
