Koen De Decker

Le teletravailleur
Koen De Decker studied at the Rijksacademie Amsterdam at the end of the nineties. As an ambitious amateur mathematician he examines the geometric construction of rooms. This expressed itself as room-sized constructions in wood, metal or plastic pipes. Drawings and videos create at first sight a counterbalance to the (pseudo)scientific rigidity of the installations. However, everything seems (literally) to come together in the eye of the artist. Via a video image of his own eye he confronts spectators with the often forgotten fact that art has in the first place to do with our (weak) perception.
