Collection Vanmoerkerke

The Vanmoerkerke collection is the private art collection of Mark Vanmoerkerke, located on the site of the former Ostend airport. Architects De Bruycker - De Brock renovated the 1939 warehouse into a private art - and office space. In 2010, an adjacent building was added, housing the collection's library and expanding its exhibition and storage rooms. Independent curators are invited on a yearly basis to create an exhibition with works from the collection, which consists out of European and American post-conceptual art; specifically paintings, sculptures, photography and videos of Dennis Adams, John M. Armleder, Walead Beshty, Candice Breitz, Maurizio Cattelan, Stan Douglas, Michael en Ingar Elmgreen Dragset, Ceal Floyer, Michel Francois, Dora Garcia, Liam Gillick, Jack Goldstein, Andreas Gursky, Carsten Höller, Jenny Holzer, Annette Kelm, Terence Koh, Sherrie Levine, Jonathan Monk, Philippe Parreno, Cindy Sherman, Andreas Slominski, Rudolf Stingel, Diana Thater, Christopher Wool and Erwin Wurm.
