Project spaces often are started by artists who make use of infrastructure for artistic projects.
SECONDroom
Since 2006, the independent platform SECONDroom (Sr) organises one-day exhibitions. Originally this took place in a living room in Brussels, but in the meantime there have been several mutations of the concept in Ghent, Louvain, Antwerp. The original version still continues in Antwerp and/or in collaboration with other initiatives. SECONDroom has already realised more than 300 exhibitions. The initiative is led by Christophe Floré, Tanja Vrancken,David Van Mieghem, Athéna Lazarou and Marc Van Tichel. The concept of the weekly vernissage-exhibition on Saturdays is maintained.
