In March 2005 drummer Teun Verbruggen (Jef Neve trio, Flat Earth Society...) invited the eccentric guitar player Mauro Pawlowski (dEUS, Somnambula) and piano-Rhodes wizard Jozef Dumoulin (Mäâk, Magic Malik, Octurn...) to play a single session based on pure improvisation. The result left most people wondering how to categorize what they had just heard causing a debate whether this was jazz at all.
Seven years later the band has played in many jazz and alternative venues in Europe, released three albums – The Ankh (2006), Child of deception and skill (2008) & The Nethack Dictionary (2011) - and invited several guests to play with them: bass legend Trevor Dunn (Mr. Bungle, John Zorn), extraordinary New York harpist Shelley Burgon, pianist Fred Vanhove, 'St Germain Boulevard' flutist Magic Malik and last but not least New York sax player Andrew d'Angelo.
