Capriola di Gioia

Capriola di Gioia

After a number of successful performances, Amaryllis Dieltiens (Soprano) and Bart Naessens (Organ/Cembalo) received requests from both the musical establishment and the public to give more concerts. The idea grew to start with their own ensemble in order to present new musical programs and to consolidate the joy of their musical experience.
They share a passion for the 17th century and baroque repertoire and they are willing to meet up to the challenge of performing this moving music in a very personal and expressive way.
Capriola Di Gioia was founded in 2007.

In the past few years both Amaryllis and Bart have been performing as soloists and in several ensembles in many concert halls and festivals throughout Europe. In this way they acquired indispensable experience.
They have worked with musicians of great renown and have had the opportunity to develop their own musical personalities through a very extensive repertoire.
Their programs are the result of intensive study and well considered choices from the impressively huge repertoire for soprano and basso continuo. For some concerts Capriola Di Gioia is being joined by other young musicians who have also lost their hearts to this wonderful music.
