My name is Michiel De Malsche and I’ve always had a passion for music & sound. I started off as a choirboy and moved on to playing the piano at the age of 7. As puberty got hold of me, I grew a bit bored with traditional music education, began to play & experiment in bands, and quickly discovered the pleasures of composing and improvising.
I went off to study Jazz Piano and Arrangement and eventually obtained a master's degree in Classical Music Composition & Orchestration.
Ever since, I’ve been writing, arranging and producing music for symphonic orchestras, symphonic bands, chamber ensembles, solo-instruments, theatre- & dance productions, pop bands, DJ’s, art exhibitions, films, etc…
I have always been, and always will be, in search of authenticity.
