Wim Van Moerbeke
Wim Van Moerbeke began his piano studies with Gemma De Meester at the age of 7.
In 1998 he started his studies in the Royal Conservatory in Gent with
Johan Duijck and in 2003 he was admitted in the Erasmushogeschool Royal
Conservatory of Brussels with Jan Michiels.
He has given concerts in Italy, Belgium, Austria and the Netherlands and
was invited to play recitals in Taiwan and Brasil, Sao Paulo where he will
perform the second concerto of Brahms. Wim participated in Masterclasses
with Peter Ritzen, Rian De Waal, John Whitelaw, Alexis Weissenberg, Hans
Leygraf.
Wim played in important halls like the 'Concertgebouw' in Bruges and the '
Sala Darsena' in Lignano.
He also plays a lot of chambermusic with Laszlo Olah (Hongarian-Belgian
violinist), Dagmar Ondracek (German-Czech violinist), Jademar Suarez
(Venezuelan clarinettist).
