Bart Naessens


Bart Naessens studied at Luca School of Arts with Chris Dubois, Luc Ponet, Kris Verhelst and Edmond Saveniers.

 

Since 2017 he teaches harpsichord at the Royal Brussels Conservatory and was recently appointed as Head of the Early Music Department.

As conductor and keyboard player he's worldwide frequently invited in the most divergent programs. Recent and future highlights: conductor at the Flemish Opera with B'Rock and Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui, Messiah Händel in Curitiba (Brasil), St. John-, Matthewpassion and Hohe Messe Bach, tour + CD-recording Japan (Tokyo - Hamamatsu), ...

In march 2020 he received the Klara-award as musician of the year.
