Bel Ayre is the group around jazz guitarist Peter Verhelst and soprano Lieselot De Wilde. Bel Ayre is a pan-European term for beautiful song. The name suggests a connection between different languages and cultures, explaining the group's goal: it is a place where different musical worlds come together to contrast with, influence and inspire each other. From their different musical backgrounds, the musicians bring classical, levenslied, jazz and traditional music together, resulting in a vast palette of musical colours.

Bel Ayre has performed on vatious stages in Belgium, France, the Netherlands, Italy, Switzerland and Lithuania. In early 2017, they published the album 'A Canzone 'e Partenope - Canzoni popolari Napolitane, with a selection of Neapolitan folk songs.
