The young Belgian soprano Hanne ROOS, belongs undoubtedly to the most promising singers of the new generation of Opera- and Lied-interpreters. She started her vocal education at the Music Academy of her hometown Ronse with Pascal Devreese. In 2004 she joined the vocal department of the Royal Music Conservatoire of Gent (Belgium), where she at first obtained her “Bachelor’s degree” with soprano Erika Pauwels. Eventually she was coached by the renowned baritone Gidon Saks as well as by Evelyn Bohen and Mireille Capelle and graduated of a Master’s degree cum laude.
Hanne Roos followed master classes with a.o. Anne Cambier and Dina Grossberger. During her vocal education she also entered the opera class of stage director Ronny Lauwers at Gent Conservatoire. 
Season 2009/2010 saw her as a member of the Flanders Opera Studio, where she sang amongst others the title-role in Alcina. Eventually she joined for another two seasons the internationally renowned Opera Studio of Strasbourg and Colmar. Having a direct link with the Opéra national du Rhin Strasbourg, it allowed her to take part in a large number of productions. Inbetween she made her debut as Rosina in "Il Barbiere di Siviglia" at Zomeropera Alden-Biesen.
First steps on the opera stage with Rosalinde in “Die Fledermaus”  and sang The Governess in de “Turn of the Screw” by Benjamin Britten (directed by Gidon Saks). Since her debut at Flanders Opera as Kate Pinkerton (in the famous Butterfly-production by Robert Carsen), she returned as Konstanze in "Is it Love", after Mozart’s “Entführung", Micaela (Carmen), 1. Dame (Zauberflöte and as Jungfer Marianne in the largely praised production of Rosenkavalier(R. Strauss) directed by Oscar Prize Winner Christoph Waltz.
In concert she  appeared frequently with the Chamber Orchestra of Belgium (of which she was artist in Residence). She toured with Brussels Philharmonic to Festival Musica in Strasbourg and to the Comteporary Music Biennale of Venise to interprete "Le Cri de Mohim" composed and conducted by Michel Tabachnik of whom Hanne will soon sing as well "Le Livre de Job" (Cité de la Musique, Paris (October 2014).

August 2010 she won two Prizes at the Singing competition of Marmande (France): 2nd Prize "Opéra" and "Prix Jeune Espoir".
