After studying recorder, chamber music and harpsichord at LUCA School of Arts Lemmens Campus in Leuven, Ruth Van Killegem immersed herself in the Baroque repertoire and Contemporary Music. She distinguished herself at international competitions: in Tilburg she was awarded the Dutch LINK audience award and at the prestigious Musica Antiqua competition in Bruges she became a laureate and received the audience award and the Radio 3 (now Klara) prize. She performs at home and abroad as a soloist and in chamber music with ensembles such as RedHerring, Il Gardellino and Tiptoe Company, and has collaborated on various CD recordings.
