Arts centre BUDA is a workplace, a presentation platform and an arthouse cinema. Arts centre BUDA makes an artistic context in which the artist's desire to create and learn takes a central place. Arts centre BUDA thus helps developing the Buda city district into a productive workspace for artists and a crossroads for creative, enterprising people and organisations and a wide audience. As a workspace, a presentation platform for contemporary performance arts and an arthouse cinema, arts centre BUDA wants to play a leading role within the Eurometropolis Lille-Kortrijk-Tournai and thus enhance recognition at an international level. Arts centre BUDA believes it is important to pay constant attention to local and international partnerships, both inside and outside of the arts scene. Every year BUDA welcomes up to 75 companies / 300 performing artists to work in one of the (5) studio’s or (2) theatre venues. An enthusiastic technical and artistic team of Buda employees (YES-team) support them in their creation.
