Isabelle De Baets


Isabelle De Baets obtained a Master of Fine Arts and studied art history and archaeology at the University of Ghent. She worked successively for MIAT, Angelos Jan Fabre, the cultural department of Kortrijk, Kunst vzw and Kunst en Zwalm vzw. Until 2019 she was a guest lecturer at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts (KASK) and the Royal Conservatoire (together the School of Arts of HOGENT and Howest). As an art critic, she is a regular contributor to HART magazine, a magazine for contemporary art in Belgium. She is active as a freelance curator & art editor, researching creation processes in the visual arts, with a focus on relational art, gender and textiles.
