Denis Gielen


After working for several years as a freelance journalist and art critic, Denis Gielen became the assistant to Laurent Busine, director of MACs, the Museum of Contemporary Art of the French-speaking Community of Belgium in Grand-Hornu, where he worked as curator and editor-in-chief of the magazine DITS from 1999 to 2015. He is notably the author of the following books: "Atlas des arts contemporains à l'usage de tous" (2007), "S.F. - Art, Science & Fiction" (2012), "Tony Oursler. Vox Veracular" (2013) and "Rebel Rebel" (2016). Since 2017, Denis Gielen has been director of the MAC's museum.
