Phillip Van den Bossche


Phillip Van den Bossche holds a master's degree in art history, art criticism and conservation (U Gent). He then followed the Curatorial Training Program at the Karel Appel Foundation (NL). He taught at the Akademie Kunst en Vormgeving Hogeschool Avans (NL), was editor at Archis, curator at the Van Abbemuseum in Eindhoven, to become Director-Curator of Mu.ZEE in 2007 where he supervised the integration project of the Museum of Fine Arts of the city of Ostend with the PMMK. In 2019, he left Mu.ZEE in Ostend to take up other professional challenges. Since then, he has been an independent curator and writes on contemporary art, including 'Jan Kempenaers, Belgian colonial monuments' (2019).
