Nav Haq


Nav Haq was appointed associate director of M HKA in Antwerp in 2019.

Nav Haq previously worked at Arnolfini (Bristol, 2007-2012), where he curated exhibitions by Haegue Yang, Cosima von Bonin and Shilpa Gupta, among others, and group exhibitions such as Superpower: Africa in Science Fiction (2012), and Museum Show, a survey of artists' museums (2011). He has also curated exhibitions such as Contour in Mechelen (2007) and the Gothenburg Biennale (2017).

Since 2012 Haq has been working as a senior curator at M HKA. In that year he received the 'Independent Vision Award for Curatorial Achievement' from Independent Curators International, an award for curators worldwide that recognises exceptional creativity in their exhibitions, research and writing. At the M HKA, Nav Haq has made high-profile exhibitions such as Kerry James Marshall (2013) or Energy Flash - The rave movement (2016), and recently the successful exhibitions Laure Prouvost and Amberes - Roberto BolaƱo's Antwerp (2019).
