As an independent curator Beatrijs Eemans develops innovative projects in which the arts and the healthcare sector connect and contribute to the well-being of people in a healthy society.

Beatrijs Eemans began her professional career in the fine arts in 1998 as a researcher and assistant curator at the East Asia Department of the Royal Museums of Art and History in Brussels. In 2001-2002 she was exhibition coordinator of Bruges 2002: European Capital of Culture, which spanned multiple venues in Bruges. Afterwards she worked as exhibition coordinator and curator at S.M.A.K. in Ghent, before joining the artist studio Zapomatik and social entrepreneurs group Steunpunt Welzijn. In 2016 she curated Creating Europe. The Arts as Architects? with solo exhibitions by Philip Metten and Christian Nyampeta, in the context of Creative Europe project Understanding Territoriality in Netwerk Aalst. Her work on exhibitions has included editing numerous catalogues and other text projects.
