Sergio Servellón


Sergio Esteban Servellon Sosa worked and lived in New York, Berlin and Rotterdam and is now based in Antwerp. He obtained a master degree in painting (KASKA Antwerp) in 1996 and a postgraduate degree (GAS) in Culture and Communication (KUB Brussels) in 2001 and Cultural Management (UAntwerpen) in 2004. Since 2005, he has been director of the FeliXart Museum, which he has reoriented towards a thematic institution focusing on the Belgian historical avant-garde and abstract art. Besides retrospective exhibitions on a.o. Karel Maes, Maurice Carlier, Paul Van Hoeydonck and Jan Yoors, he published monographs on the oeuvre of Felix De Boeck and Michel Seuphor. He is chairman of the King Baudouin Foundation and of ICOM Belgium Flanders.
