Zoë Gray


Zoë Gray (UK/BE) is senior curator at WIELS, Brussels, since 2015, where her exhibitions include Klara Lidén (2015), Erik van Lieshout (2016), Simon Denny (2016), Rita McBride (2017), The Absent Museum (2017), Saâdane Afif (2018), Koenraad Dedobbeleer (2018), Gabriel Kuri (2019), Thao Nguyen Phan (2020), Risquons-Tout! (2020) and Regenerate (2021), among others. For 2022-23, she is preparing exhibitions with Kasper Bosmans, Shimabuku, Didier Vermeiren and Marc Camille Chaimowicz. Previously Gray was artistic director of the Rennes Biennale (FR, 2014) and worked as project manager for the LUMA Foundation (Arles, FR, 2012-2013). From 2006-2012, she was curator at the art space then known as Witte de With (Rotterdam, NL), where she curated numerous exhibitions and the symposium series The Rotterdam Dialogues: Critics, Curators, Artists (2008-2009). She is a member of IKT (International Association of Curators of Contemporary Art) and from 2011-2014 was its Vice President. Gray is currently on the acquisition committee for the Frac des Pays de la Loire (France). She is a member of the general assembly of La Loge (Brussels), KIOSK (Ghent), and of the advisory committee for Mu.ZEE (Ostend).
