Anke D'Haene


Curator/Coordinator Anke D'Haene has coordinated and curated several projects in the socio-cultural, cultural and heritage sector in recent years. She was active as coordinator art public space for the city of Ghent from 2000 till 2009. Since 2020, she is program maker for art public space for the city of Kortrijk and coordinates city-wide festivals and exhibitions a.o. (Fotografen - Track & Trace Kortrijk Fotofestival (trackandtracekortrijk.be), Triennale voor actuele kunst, 2024.
 
From 2009 to 2020, her focus was on photography - especially documentary and socially engaged photography - by organising exhibitions at IVA Historische Huizen in Ghent. She was responsible for the programming and curator for the summer exhibitions at St Peter's Abbey. In 2015 and 2017 she coordinated the biennial photo festival '80 Days of Summer' Second edition photo festival 80 Days of Summer | City of Ghent (Press room). This festival was built with national and international photographers in various heritage institutions in the city. She was responsible for prospecting and coordinating the exhibitions and the festival.
