Stephane Verheye

Studied at the National Radio & Film Institute in Brussels and at the Royal Academy in Ghent. For 2 years, assistant in London to John Rawlings and world photographer Ed White. Was an advertising photographer in Brussels for more than 30 years. Photographed for numerous national and international campaigns. Won several awards for his work, such as Int. Pentawards, Gourmand Int. awards and CCB advertising awards in collaboration with Belgian and foreign advertising agencies, packaging designers and publishers.

In 2004, Stephane Verheye was elected "European Photographer of the Year 2004" by the "European Federation of Professional Photographers" in Italy. For his personal and artistic work, he was selected by the American publisher "World Wide Art Books" for the edition of "Int. Masters of Photography" in 2012 and for "International Contemporary Masters" in 2013. He chaired the jury of the Knokke Photo Festival for more than 10 years. Since several editions, he has been co-curator of the International Photo Festival Knokke-Heist and curator of photo exhibitions commissioned by cities and municipalities and for several galleries. He was chief curator of the Ostend Photo Biennial in 2021 and in 2023.
