Isabela Grosseova

Isabela Grosseová graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Prague (www.avu.cz) and the Graduate Institute for Visual Arts, HISK in Ghent, Belgium (hisk.edu). For six years she worked as an architect and member of the AP Atelier of Ing. Arch. Pleskot in Prague and later at the Vito Acconci Studio in New York. She is currently working on her PhD thesis, Gravity of Artistic Competence at the Academy of Fine Arts in Prague. Her aim is to uncover and activate specific alternatives in discussing artistic competence and sensibilities. She examine situations in which people who had hopes of becoming professional artists have to face lack of recognition, personal failure and exclusion from art world.
