Violet

Violet is a space for contemporary art in Antwerp that offers a platform to artists whose work is action- or process-based. Within the walls of the old bakery shop in the Eugeen Joorsstraat, we invite the viewer to an intimate, playful, and sometimes unsettling experience. Besides exploring the possibilities for engaging viewers to interact closely with the installations presented, Violet seeks to establish a platform for dialogue, discussion, and experimentation. Violet was founded by Liesbet Grupping and Vildana Memic as part of Liesbet Grupping’s artistic research.
