Some galeries do not only sell art works, but also engage with the artist to support research and artistic development.
Galerie Jamar
Gallery Jos Jamar, established at Cockerillkaai in Antwerp's south area, exists since 1989. It highlights Belgian model and contemporary art, from James Ensor and Léon Spilliaert to Marcel Broodthaers, Pierre Alechinsky, Jan Fabre and Panamarenko. As the transition from modern to contemporary art has created a large and fascinating artistic landscape, the gallery exhibits important work of artists who are - or were - leading in their time and style.
