Valerie Bach

The Patinoire Royale – Galerie Valérie Bach opened its doors in April 2015 in the world’s first roller skating rink which was built in 1877 and classified as a historical monument in 1995. We have created an open artistic program in three distinct fields structured around the female artist, monumentality and a strong aesthetic concern. The artists’ decisions preside over the exhibitions, materializing in their editorial selections which are then accompanied by the Patinoire’s international position, art fair participation and vast network of collectors. Furthermore, in response to our quasi-institutional qualification, the gallery chooses to present important historical exhibitions, highlighting the international, Belgian, and Modern Art movements such as narrative figuration, kinetic art or Belgian abstraction, both in sculpture and in painting.
