MAAC

The residencies of MAAC, Maison d'Art Actuel des Chartreux, offer individual or collective research- and experimental space to upcoming artists, ratifying MAAC's ambitions to defend and support young contemporary creation in its professional development by offering financial support for the production of exhibits and by providing workspaces.

As an artist residence resorting under the department of youth service in the city of Brussels, under the Echevinat of Mrs. Faouzia Hariche, the project places art education in the centre of attention. With support from the COCOF and the Fédération Wallonie-Bruxelles, MAAC is particularly interested in multidisciplinary approaches; through the selection of projects it guarantees a wide perspective on artistic experiments.

Located in the centre of Brussels, MAAC provides six studios for young visual artists working in the field of contemporary art (painting, drawing, installation, video, photography, textile and sound art).
