Jasper Huysentruyt

Jasper Huysentruyt (1983) has been obsessed with music from childhood. Piano is his main musical medium, because it is incredibly versatile. Huysentruyt studied music production (one year) and Jazz piano at the Ghent Conservatory, where he was taught by Erik Vermeulen, Ernst Vranckx, Marc Godfroid, Pierre Vaiana and many more...

Over the last years he has been performing with several bands, ranging from blues, popmusic, drum'n bass to jazz.He has an ongoing need to keep exploring new musical horizons.

In 2004 Huysentruyt decided to form a trio with Filip Vandebril on bass and Lander Gyselinck on drums. The trio plays compositions of Huysentruyt and some standards.
