Deletaille nicolas

Graduated of the Queen Elisabeth of Belgium Musical Chapel and the Juilliard School, New York, Nicolas Deletaille has performed in most European countries as soloist or chamber musician.
Apart from his activity as a cellist, he earned also distinction by playing arpeggione (bowed, six-stringed, fretted instrument, which is tuned exactly like a classical guitar, for which Schubert wrote the famous "Arpeggione Sonata").

Interested by the music of our time, he gave numerous world premieres.

In 2003, he has been travelling for three months in Turkey and Iran for a cultural project about the mythical silkroad.

Nicolas Deletaille is cellist of the Mendelssohn Ensemble
