Peter Verhaegen

Peter Verhaegen studied bass guitar at the Jazzstudio in Antwerp and at the Berklee College of Music in Boston. Later on he applied himself to double-bass with Maurice Aerts at the Music-Conservatory of Brussels and at the Lemmensinstitute with Phillipe Aerts.

He played for several years in the Royal Ballet of Flanders, and gained a lot of musical experience there, for example with West Side Story, Chess, Anatevka,Jesus Christ Superstar. In the jazz circuit he played with Ali Ryerson(USA), Art Porter(USA), Brussels Jazz Orchestra.

He also has a wide pop experience with divers Belgian pop artists, with whom he did tours in South-Africa, Pakistan, Canada, Egypt, Taiwan,...

Recently he works more and more in theatre productions. He made recordings with several of the artists mentioned above.
