Jenny Spanoghe


Jenny Spanoghe, … born in Kortrijk, Belgium in 1957. A celebrated concert violinist and violist who has formed and headed a number of musical ensembles worldwide.

Since 2000 Jenny records, performs concerts and gives lecture-recitals with organist, harpsichordist and composer Jan Van Landeghem as Duo Landini.

Jenny has twice won the Fugue Trophy, awarded by the Union of Belgian Composers, as ambassador of Belgian Classical Music on the world stage. In 1996 Jenny gaigned the trophy with the Gaggini String Quartet and the Landini Piano Trio. In 2009 she was rewarded as a soloist.

She has been Extraordinary Professor at the Queen Elisabeth Music Chapel in Waterloo, Professor at the Conservatories of Antwerp, Brussels, Tilburg, the Academy of Performing Arts in Overijse and the Academy of Music in Jette.

During her 40-year career as devoted Professor, Jenny has trained and guided numerous young violinists to become (international) professional musicians and teachers.

Jenny performs actually with Duo Landini as soloist in solo recitals, with her duo violin-viola Eliot Lawson, with Trio Landini, and with her sister Viviane Spanoghe in a duo violin-viola/cello.
