Conor Biggs


The Irish bass, Conor Biggs, studied singing with Evelyn Dowling (Dublin) and John Cameron (Royal Northern College of Music, Manchester). He has also studied piano with Mabel Swainson (Dublin) and organ with Ludwig Doerr (Freiburg). Furthermore he holds a diploma in musicology from Trinity College, Dublin.
Since 1992 Conor Biggs has lived in Belgium where he is best known for his appearances as a singer of oratorios and lieder. He is a member of Psallentes and of the Vlaams Radio Koor (Flemish Radio Choir).
Currently he is engaged in a series of ten illustrated lieder recitals around the theme “History of the Art Song” in Rosario, Bever. His CD Tchaikovsky Songs appeared in 2005. He has also recorded solos for Eufoda (Membra Jesu Nostri) and Cyprès (Requiem de Campra).
