Agartha

Agartha

Agartha operates on the basis of the instruments bayan/accordion and viola. Departing from a theme our programmes range across a gamut from solo repertoire to duo, trio and quartet.

samenstelling: Bram Bossier (altviool), An Raskin (accordeon),

... a search for the untraceable...
... an exploration of being...
... a realm of emotions and experiences...

In the world of musical experiences one always ends up with the search for fulfillment of expectations, both with listeners and performers. Agartha looks for an answer to these questions. Starting an intuitive growth process in discovering a colorful and aesthetic world is one of the aims.

In a unique ensemble, such as Agartha, with the bayan and the viola as main instruments (played by An Raskin and Bram Bossier), one can expect something quite adventurous and revelatory. To offer a wide variety of projects, Agartha combines various instruments with a specific musical tradition and history. Furthermore the ensemble tries to find a balance between the classical world and contemporary culture by means of new compositions, by exploring common grounds in different artistic disciplines.
