Austrian violist Romina Lischka discovered the viol at the age of thirteen. At that time, she was studying guitar in her hometown of Vienna. Fascinated by early music, she took viol lessons with Jorge Daniel Valencia and followed masterclasses with Wieland Kuijken and Jordi Savall. She continued her studies with Paolo Pandolfo at the Schola Cantorum Basiliensis in Basel, Switzerland, where she graduated magna cum laude in 2006. In 2008, she achieved another master's degree magna cum laude at the Royal Conservatory of Brussels, where she studied with Philippe Pierlot. In 2000, Romina won the "Prima la Musica" competition in Austria. In 2004, she was selected to participate in the Académie Européenne d'Ambronay under the direction of Christophe Rousset.

As freelance soloist and continuo player, Romina performs with the Ricercar Consort (Philippe Pierlot), Collegium Vocale (Philippe Herreweghe), le Jardin Secret, Queen's Consort (Sophie Gent), Zefiro Torna, B'Rock, Capilla Flamenca, Flemish Opera and Roza Enflorese

In recent years, Romina performed at the Day of Early Music, AMUZ, BOZAR, Midis Minimes, Early Music Festival York, Festival of Flanders, Network Early Music, Brighton Early Music Festival, Festival de la Roque d‘Antheron, Züricher Tonhalle, Konzerthaus Innsbruck, Festival de Labeaume, Teatro Maliban, Auroville (India), Concertgebouw Amsterdam, Lincoln Center NY, Festival d‘Aix en Provence, Folle Journée à Nantes et Tokio... as well as recording CDs for CORO, Ricercar, Christophorus and Flora.

Next to her concert activities as a violist, Romina also studied northern Indian singing (dhrupad) at the department of World Music of the Rotterdam Conservatory (bachelor 2010) and in India with Ustad Fariduddin and Uday Bhawalkar.
