Amaryllis Dieltiens


Amaryllis Dieltiens studied singing with Lieve Van Haverbeke and her current teacher Margreet Honig. In February 2004 she graduated at the Conservatory of Amsterdam. She continued her studies at 'The New Opera Academy' where she sang the parts of Morgana (Alcina - G.F. Händel), Tytania (A Midsummer Night's Dream - B. Britten), Belinda (Dido and Aeneas - H. Purcell) and Nella (Gianni Schicci - G. Puccini).

She attended masterclasses with Maria Kristina Kiehr, David Thomas, Patricia Mc Mahon, Barbara Schlick, Mark Tucker, Ann Murray, Anthony Legge, Margreet Honig, Konrad Junghänel, Jill Feldman, Jard Van Nes and Noëlle Barker.

From 1999 - 2006 she sang in the Capella Currende and Currende Consort with Erik Van Nevel and made several cd-recordings with this group.

Early in 2007 she founded with Bart Naessens the ensemble Capriola Di Gioia, with a view to conveying her passion for the moving 17th-century repertoire.

Recently Amaryllis worked with conductors such as Richard Egarr, Alexander Rodin, Roel Dieltiens, Jos Van Veldhoven, Johannes Leerthouwer, Geert Van den Dungen, Erik Van Nevel, Jan Willem de Vriend... in opera and oratorio repertoire.
