Transdisciplinary

A lot of artists and organisations develop practices that cannot necessarily be situated within a single discipline. In transdisciplinary arts, the different disciplines are so intertwined that they are no longer separately identifiable in the end result.

Flemish collections and archives for the arts

Flanders Arts Institute started in 2015 as a merger organisation of the former support centres for visual arts (BAM – Institute for Visual, Audiovisual and Media Arts), for music (Music Centre Flanders) and for performing arts (VTi – Flemish Theatre Institute). The collections of these organisations have since been moved to new destinations with due care: below is an overview of their former archives.
