WorkPlace vzw
WorkPlace was a new experimental exhibition space by and for artists in Antwerp, founded by the eponymous artist collective (consisting of Agnes Nagygyörgy, Freija Van Esbroeck, Philippe Robeyns, Bert Timmermans and Filip Van Kerckhoven). The founders wanted more than simply use the space exclusively for the exhibition of their own work, and decided to turn it into a meeting space for artists. The members of the collective took turns in curating a group show, usually focusing on a specific theme or concept. Since the building in which the project was housed is now sold, as of June 2015, WorkPlace currently no longer has a permanent home base. The collective will, however, continue its collaboration and exhibition projects, in a different location.
