Werkplaats Walter

Werkplaats Walter is a work and performance place for experimental and avant-garde art and music in Brussels. Walter is an initiative by musician Teun Verbruggen. In a promising building Walter invites Brussels and international visual artists and musicians in, offering workshop and rehearsal spaces, as well as possible residency and a concert hall. Walter unites artists driven by experiment and improvisation. Walter nestles in the very heart of Cureghem (Anderlecht), a densely-populated neighbourhood, a stone’s throw away from Brussels’ city centre and in the middle of the rapidly developing canal district.

Werkplaats Walter opens up 360 m2 of an industrial building in Brussels for musicians, artists and every one looking for an exciting place to experiment, create and discover. Werkplaats Walter has a concert room of 100 m2 for rent, ideal for rehearsals, residencies and concerts, with the possibility to use the bar and sanitary facilities. Longer residencies with the use of our sleeping facilities are also possible.

Werkplaats Walter has an open atelier of 40 m2 for short-term rent and a residency apartment. The apartment can host up to 4 persons and is located in front of the artist workspace.
