De Tank
In 2016, Het Entrepot surveyed creative work space for artists in Bruges. More than 200 creatives were unanimous: the need for affordable space is great. Especially among young artists and creators who are still finding their way.
The results of that survey led to the establishment of studio operation De Tank, which opened its doors on the Burg, in the centre of Bruges, in 2017. Since then, De Tank has filled up almost continuously and grew into a hotbed of creativity in Bruges.
In 2023, De Tank moved to the Blydhove castle in Assebroek.
De Tank is not just a collection of studios where everyone works on their own island. As part of youth centre Het Entrepot, De Tank seeks to actively engage with its creative community. Residents participate in workshops, exhibit at The Entrepot's events or organise their own events at the Blydhove castle.
