Samuel Vanderveken

The works by Samuel Vanderveken often thematically revolve around 'the absurd'. This is expressed in scenes, either figurative or abstract, where everything seems possible, in an abundance of colors and shapes. Pleasantly chaotic or with a hint of madness. The images are kickstarted by an experiment and evolve into an idea, or vice versa, as if the artist finds himself on a crossroad, where any direction seems valid. Although the works have meaningful titles, there is still room for the imagination, interpretation and wonder.
