Joshua Serafin


Joshua Serafin is a Filipino dancer, performer, maker currently based in Brussels, Belgium . He received his first dance training from Ballet Philippines.  He is also a graduate of Philippine High School for the Arts where he majored in Theatre Arts, he also recieved a full scholarship for a Bachelors degree in Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts in which he majored in Contemporary dance for two years before being admitted to the school P.A.R.T.S in Belgium where he is in his last year. 
He was able to work with different productions, festivals, and with international artists mostly from Europe and Asia such as: Manuel Pelmus,  Ming Wong, Bruno Isacovic , Adrian Wong and Shane Parson for the opening of Art Basel Hong Kong, Arco Renz, Eisa Jocson. Leeroy New, Christine Gouzelis and Paul Blackman. Productions of PARTS, Hong Kong Academy for Perfoming Arts, Sipat Lawin Ensemble, Ballet Philippines, Pole Academy Philippines. He has also participated and performed in No Borders Project in Xiamen, China, 1st Martial Arts and Dance in China, International Youth Festival in Aberdeen Scotland, Deltebre Dansa festival in Spain, KunstenFestivalDesArt in Brussels Belgium and Dansand in Ostende Belgium, Tanzplattform in Deutschland 2018, Essen Germany.
His work currently deals with questions about identity, states of being, ways of inhibiting the body, and the inherent duality that manifest in his physical form and what it represents through an alter identity he has created called "Void".
