WIThWIT was founded in 2014 by Erki De Vries and Freija Van Esbroeck, both know for their visual work and scenographies for dance and theatre. WIThWIT supports a variety of visual activities (theatre, performances, installations, exhibitions ...). In collaboration with artists from varying disciplines, WIThWIT creates experimental visual work for all ages. Their wordless performances surpass language barriers and encourage a new appreciation for the wonder and the magic of the image. Installations or sculptures are not solely functional or subject to a story, but become key players themselves; the intimate setting of a theatrebox provides them with a new, layered meaning. This gives birth to poetical worlds for the young and the old, where visual arts and theatre blend into each other.
